Equestrian Excellence on the Isle of Wight
Under construction in 2017 on the Isle of Wight -- a portal frame sand school building with two monopitch lean-tos, and a portal framed barn, for the Island Riding Centre, Newport.
The main area of the sand school building is 66 metres by 26.033 metres. The two lean-tos, one for a shop and the other for a waiting area, are 54 metres and 18 metres long respectively, and both are 6 metres wide. The barn is also a substantial building, 18.29 by 12.3 metres.
Paul and Louise Buckner acquired Aisthorpe Farm at Staplers Road, Newport, in 2015 and have set about creating a top-class riding venue and equestrian holiday centre.
They chose Shufflebottom buildings with galvanised steel frames and side cladding of treated timber Castle boarding (vented for the barn).
More information to follow as the project proceeds.
