Black paint for Black Hall

Great Canfield near Dunmow in Essex is the setting for a substantial agricultural building, 30.4 metres long and 15 metres wide. The building, purchased from Shufflebottom by Mrs J Attenborough at Black Hall Barns, has five bays and is 3 metres high to the eaves and 4.8 metres to the ridge. The Shufflebottom galvanised eaves beam gutter system is incorporated, and the steelwork for the building is shotblast to B.S. SA 2.5 and painted in 75 microns zinc phosphate high-build primer in black.

 

The roof cladding is P6R Farmscape in anthracite. The sides are part-clad with timber, two with Yorkshire boarding and two with Castle boarding. At one end, the peak area is clad with rooflights.
