An agricultural building for Mr Edward Earnshaw at Lower
Slaughter, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, has a mezzanine
floor able to support weights of 40 to 50 tonnes.
The mezzanine is 90 feet long and 55 feet wide, and occupies the
whole building, which although for agricultural uses is
manufactured to the B.S. 5950 industrial specification.
The height from ground to eaves is 20 feet, and the
60mm-insulated side cladding is vertical 0.5mm olive-green
plastic-coated box profile from Kingspan, KS1000RW XL forte
leathergrain.
Roof cladding is also Kingspan insulated plastic-coated box
profile, with 10% GRP Trilite 2.4 standard UV protection. The
shotblast steelwork has a hot-dipped finish to BNEN 1461.
This rather unusual building has three doorways, and an external
staircase. The purlins are Ultrazeds and the eaves beam is
cold-rolled Ultrazed.
