For arable farmers SF and SW Stevenson, at Little Henny,
Sudbury, Suffolk, their third Shufflebottom steel-framed building
is a storage and general-purpose building, 50 feet long by 25 feet
wide and 16 feet high to the eaves. The shotblast steelwork is
painted in 75 micron zinc phosphate high-build primer in green,
while the roof cladding is P6R fibre cement in laurel green. Three
sides have vertical 0.5mm plastic-coated box profile with Ultrazed
side rails.
The first building is larger, 80 feet by 60 feet and 20 feet
high to the eaves, with a doorway 20 feet square, and the second is
a grain store, an extension to the first building, dimensions 80
feet by 30 feet and 20 feet to the eaves at the high side, 13 feet
at the low side. These buildings incorporate the Shufflebottom
galvanised eaves beam gutter system.
The Stevensons chose Shufflebottom buildings because of their
security features, strength and durability. Their third
Shufflebottom was also our 10,000th recorded steel-framed
building.
