Livestock building on Brampton Farms at Beccles

Lord James Prior's Brampton Farms have their third Shufflebottom building.

The first, in 2010, is a livestock building 105 feet by 45 feet and 12 feet to the eaves, incorporating the Shufflebottom eaves beam gutter system and with galvanised steelwork. The second, in 2011, is a hay barn 80 feet by 50 feet and 18 feet to the eaves. The third building, for livestock, is 135 feet long and 45 feet wide, and like the first building has the special Shufflebottom eaves beam gutter system, galvanised steelwork and a height of 12 feet to the eaves.

Lord James Prior was Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food from June 1970 to November 1972, and was subsequently Leader of the House of Commons, Lord President of the Council, Secretary for Employment and Secretary for Northern Ireland.  When he retired from Parliament in 1987, he was created Baron Prior of Brampton, Suffolk.
