International Award for Alex Shufflebottom
Alex Shufflebottom wins Achievement Award

Alex Shufflebottom, a director of Shufflebottom Ltd, is the
winner of the International Achievement Award in the 2011 'Women in
Business Awards' organised by the South Wales Evening
Post and Swansea Bay Bay Business Life.
The award recognises Shufflebottom Ltd's success in exporting,
far beyond the boundaries of Wales, custom-manufactured
steel-framed buildings for agriculture, industry, commerce and
more.
"I am very proud to have won the award and it is wonderful for
Shufflebottom Ltd," said Alex, who was accompanied at the awards
ceremony, in Swansea on September 30, by her mother Lorna
Shufflebottom. Lorna ran the company for 15 years after the death
of her husband Martin in a tragic accident, until 2008 when brother
and sister Wesley and Alex, and general manager Alec Davies, took
over as directors.
The award comes in the year when the company sold its 10,000th
recorded building. This milestone building is owned by arable
farmers S F and S W Stevenson at Little Henny near Sudbury in
Suffolk, and is their third Shufflebottom. The Stevensons chose
Shufflebottom buildings because of their security features,
strength and durability.
