Fruit Cold Store

Shufflebottom supplied a large cold store facility of over 1,700 sq m to Hall Hunter Partnership (HHP), soft fruit farmers with sites in Berkshire, Surrey and Sussex.

The building is at Tuesley Farm, Milford, near Godalming in Surrey, as a refrigerated and controlled atmosphere store to keep harvested crops in top condition.

This was Shufflebottom's third project for HHP, a fruit and vegetable farming business dating from 1966.

The Shufflebottom steel-framed buildings at Tuesley Farm are 54m by 18m, and 46m by 15.6m, with bays of 6m and 5.75m respectively, and roof pitch of 12.5 degrees.

The steel construction phase is illustrated.
