Before the end of 2019, the multi-million pound Cardigan Integrated Care Centre will proudly open its doors.
This purpose-built, one-stop premises will improve access to health and social care to people living in and around Cardigan by providing flexible services responsive to individual needs. It will also transform local services in the Hywel Dda University Health Board area to meet future needs by providing high quality solutions closer to home as well as enhancing opportunities for sharing knowledge and enhancing working conditions for staff.
A complex and challenging project like this demanded the best in the business to make it happen. Therefore, Interserve Construction Ltd, a division of the Interserve group, with a track record of delivering design and construction services to create whole-life sustainable solutions of buildings and infrastructure, was the natural choice: Interserve has successfully brought about 100+ projects in the health sector in the last decade. The Cardigan Integrated Care System will endorse its marketing message of ‘redefining the future for people and places’.
At Shufflebottom, we were therefore pleased to work with Interserve and provide ‘integrated care’ in our approach to project management and the supply of 44.91 tonnes of hot-rolled steel and 6.14 tonnes of cold-rolled steel for this ground-breaking project. Ian Lewis, The Project Manager on the project for Interserve Construction Limited, commented “Interserve working with the local supply chain Shufflebottom on another successful project”
Our steel work is the hidden strength in the buildings: state-of-the art, light-filled spaces that will serve the community for generations to come. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to serve Interserve and play our part in building Wales and making it ready for a better future.
