Harry Barnes (21) has his dairying future all mapped out on a five-acre site of levelled Leicestershire ironstone, at Somerby south of Melton Mowbray.

Henri (13) Earns Professional Welding Qualifications
Henri Jones, 13-year-old son of Shufflebottom director Alex Shuflebottom and nephew of director Wesley Shufflebottom, has achieved professional welding qualifications. Henri successfully carried a welder approval qualification test of a multi-layer inline plate butt weld and multi-layer T-joint fillet weld.

Drawing On Work Experience
Shufflebottom welcomed Steff (left) and Jac, two Year 10 GCSE students from Ysgol Bro Dinefwr, Llandeilo, for a week’s work experience. They were mainly in the busy drawing office, but also went out on site to see a building being erected.
Top apprentice award
Apprentice Mathew Davies, who worked in fabrication and welding at Shufflebottom of Cross Hands, has won a top apprentice award from Coleg Sir Gar.
