Pets’ Paradise at Parc Pensarn
If you’re a pet owner, then you’re in for a treat! Established and ethical Burns Pet Nutrition, well known not only in Carmarthenshire, but across the whole of the UK, for the quality of its natural ingredient pet food, now has a new state-of-the-art complex at Parc Pensarn. This new development complements their Kidwelly Farm Shop, and replaces their long and highly regarded presence at Carmarthen town-centre market.
The new location and building will enable you to find everything you might ever need (or didn’t know you might need) for your pet all under one roof.
Shufflebottom is thrilled to have been a part of this new expansion for Burns Pet Nutrition, manufacturing and delivering the structural for the internal framework of the overall building of scale and scope.
Measuring 32m long x 16m wide x 6m to eaves with an add-on structure of 19m long x 16m wide x 6m to eaves and incorporating a first floor area of 544 sq. metres, this pet paradise accommodates:
Burns Pet Shop – a retail experience that sells all manner of tasty treats and toys for pets, with an eye on health and well-being. There’s even a scales there where you can weigh your dog!
Burns Pet Wellness Centre – a health and fitness centre for your pet, incorporating a tread mill and hydrotherapy pool
Seren Vets – a 24-hour 7-day a week health clinic for all your pets’ needs, manned by an on-call Vet housed in the building’s fabulous flat and staffed by the veterinary team in plush offices
A café
The project has been designed and developed with sustainability at its heart, with a solar panel roof and a ground source heat pump. It also looks great in the Carmarthenshire landscape with its colour coordinated vertical timber and horizontal blue cladding. The building is fully accessible by those with a disability and incorporates a lift.
If you want to spoil your pet, the shop is already open in time for Christmas and staffed by the lovely Gemma who will guide you through the range of healthy products on sale. All the other services will be coming on stream in the New Year. All this, plus ease of access just off the main roundabout at the A40/A48 roundabout and ease of parking with plenty of space for you and your pet.
