Quality – the main ingredient

At Shufflebottom we are always proud to work with businesses leading the way in sustainability. One such company is Blue Earth Foods Ltd. in Worcestershire (part of Seafresh Group) who source and make premium seafood products responsibly, and are justifiably a leading supplier of major retailers throughout the UK and Europe. With sustainability at its heart, Blue Earth Foods Ltd. is driven by a passion for the best in all aspects of its operation. Its mission states that its “main ingredient is quality.”

The Group also owns 44 Foods, whose mission is to deliver fair and sustainable ways to shop, delivering the finest quality produce direct from the producer to its customers’ doors via www.44foods.com . 44Foods sources seasonal and quality produce from greengrocers, butchers, fishmongers, dairies, delis and bakeries and more all of which have set the company above the rest. It operates four weekly delivery slots, ensuring delivery is both environmentally responsible and guaranteeing better produce shelf life.

As part of its business development, Blue Earth Foods Ltd. has recently invested in an extension to its Worcestershire operation. Shufflebottom was delighted to be commissioned to design, manufacture, supply and erect the steel-framed building for the project. The structural steel work, cladding and bespoke installations to the side elevation underpin the finished extension 39.49 long x 27.11 wide x 6.5m to eaves constructed in 6 bays.

At Shufflebottom we also believe that our “main ingredient is quality.” Our commitment to excellence runs through everything we do. We lead the way in our industry in quality control and health and safety not only in our manufacturing processes on site in Cross Hands but carried through to each of our customer’s unique locations, such as Blue Earth Foods Ltd.

We are delighted to have played our part in Blue Earth Foods Ltd.’s future – a future that is actually based around not costing the earth!

We were delighted to engage with Shufflebottom for the construction of our new steel-frame building as an extension to our existing factory building. The design and installation of the building required a level of bespoke design in order to integrate not only it into existing building, but also engineering services supporting the operation.

During the scoping, design and build install we were met with a “can do” attitude at levels of the process ensuring the building went up with minimal disturbance to our 24/7 operational needs.
