New Steel-Framed Manufacturing Facility Completed for DJ Davies / Coal Bunker Leisure Buildings
The completed six-bay manufacturing facility for DJ Davies, featuring contemporary woodgrain-effect cladding.
Shufflebottom is pleased to announce the completion of a new bespoke steel-framed industrial building for Carmarthenshire-based business DJ Davies, providing the foundations for the next stage of growth for its subsidiary company, Coal Bunker Leisure Buildings.
Designed, manufactured and supplied by Shufflebottom, the new six-bay building will become a dedicated manufacturing facility as Coal Bunker expands its production of premium modular buildings, including luxury leisure lodges, glamping pods, garden rooms and commercial modular offices.
Although the internal fit-out is still being completed by the client, the steel frame and external envelope are now in place, creating an impressive new facility that will support increased manufacturing capacity for years to come.
One of the building's most distinctive features is its attractive woodgrain-effect cladding, which complements the modern steel structure and demonstrates how industrial buildings can successfully combine practicality with contemporary design. The finish provides the appearance of natural timber while delivering the durability and low-maintenance benefits of modern cladding systems, creating a facility that is as impressive visually as it is functional.
As with every Shufflebottom building, the structure was manufactured at the company's headquarters in Cross Hands before being supplied for construction, ensuring high levels of quality control and precision throughout the project.
Working with businesses across the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors, Shufflebottom specialises in bespoke steel-framed buildings tailored to each customer's operational requirements. Whether the brief is a manufacturing facility, warehouse, livestock building or commercial premises, every project is designed to provide a practical, long-lasting solution.
Richard Wigley, Commercial & Technical Director at Shufflebottom, said:
"It's always rewarding to see one of our buildings helping a local business invest in its future. This new facility provides DJ Davies and Coal Bunker with the space they need to continue expanding their manufacturing operations, and we're proud to have played a part in that journey. We look forward to seeing the completed facility fully operational."
The project is another example of Shufflebottom's commitment to supporting British manufacturing with high-quality, bespoke steel-framed buildings designed to stand the test of time.
As the internal works progress towards completion, we look forward to sharing further photographs of the finished facility once production is underway.
