Welcoming our new regional Sales Agents
We are delighted to welcome Tim Gibson and Joe Payne as new regional sales agents for Shufflebottom, further strengthening our sales coverage across northern and central England.
Tim Gibson
Tim will represent Shufflebottom across North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Cleveland and Tyne & Wear.
Based near Bedale in North Yorkshire, Tim is a farmer, agricultural consultant and business owner with extensive experience across farming, agricultural technology and rural diversification.
He is Managing Partner of his family farming business, J F Gibson & Son, and has established businesses covering agricultural consultancy and supplies, groundworks, self-storage and rural commercial property.
Tim also has considerable experience within dairy technology. His business previously operated the Lely robotic dairy equipment franchise across Yorkshire, North Lancashire, Cumbria, Northumberland, Durham and Cleveland, employing a team of engineers to install, service and support automated dairy systems.
He has since worked as a farm management consultant and trainer, advising farmers and agricultural professionals on automated milking, feeding, animal welfare and farm development.
Tim said:
“We have been able to provide farmers with nearly everything they need when investing in new buildings and infrastructure, with the building itself being the one major element we have not previously supplied.
“Working with Shufflebottom allows us to offer customers a more complete service. I hope we can complement each other’s businesses and create a lasting and profitable partnership for the future.”
Outside work, Tim enjoys spending time with his young family, as well as sporting clay and game shooting.
Joe Payne
Joe will represent Shufflebottom across West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, the East Riding of Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Cheshire and Lancashire.
Joe is an upland livestock farmer based near Penistone, on the edge of the Pennines in South Yorkshire. Alongside the family farming enterprise, he has spent his career serving the agricultural community since graduating from Aberystwyth University with a degree in Agriculture.
His experience spans agricultural consumables, dairy equipment, bulk milk tanks, animal feed, tractors and farm machinery. His previous roles have taken him across Yorkshire and the Midlands, while he also gained practical dairy farming experience in Cheshire before attending university.
Joe has particularly enjoyed working with farming businesses to solve problems, identify unrealised potential and support them when making significant long-term investments in equipment and machinery.
Joe said:
“I am excited to use my industry knowledge to match customers’ needs for agricultural buildings with the Shufflebottom product range.
“I have always enjoyed helping farming businesses solve problems and gaining their trust when they are making major investments for their long-term expansion plans. I am looking forward to bringing that experience to this new role.”
Joe is currently County Vice Chairman of the NFU for the West Riding of Yorkshire and also serves on the Northern Regional Livestock Board. At home, his family has recently established a diversified horse and pony breeding stud.
Tim and Joe complement Shufflebottom’s existing sales team: Daniel Lacey, who covers the East of England; Paul Dickson, who covers Scotland; and Rosemarie Jones, Alana Williams and Tony Phipps, who support customers throughout the rest of the UK.
We are delighted to welcome them both and look forward to working together as we continue to grow our presence and support customers across the country.
