National Manufacturing Day on 7th July will be an exciting day for us here at Shufflebottom. Along with a diverse range of manufacturers right across the UK, and one of four in Wales, this specially designated day will give us the opportunity to showcase our business to the local community.

What’s exciting about being a company that manufactures structural steel and steel-framed buildings across the industrial, commercial and agricultural sectors is that Shufflebottom comes across a diverse range of interesting businesses where people are inventing, making and selling the most wonderful things.

Shufflebottom is a proud, Welsh manufacturing company based in Cross Hands, south-west Wales. We are but one of a diverse range of manufacturers who call Wales their home. Whether it’s steel (such as us), electronic, chemical, fabric or food companies whose products are Made in Wales, each has its own distinctive vision and ambition for improved performance and growth now, and in the future.

Shufflebottom understands that young people are the future: that our pipeline of skills is out there ready and waiting. That’s why, since our inception in 1977, we’ve made it our business to forge links with education providers and students in Wales so that we can offer relevant work experience here at our offices and factory that dove-tails with their academic or vocational courses.

Shufflebottom is delighted to share the news that it has recently partnered with rural finance specialist, Wadland Finance. Wadland Finance are experts in their field for the finance of agricultural and forestry equipment, dairy cattle and other capital assets.

At Shufflebottom we are always proud to work with businesses leading the way in sustainability. One such company is Blue Earth Foods Ltd. in Worcestershire (part of Seafresh Group) who source and make premium seafood products responsibly, and are justifiably a leading supplier of major retailers throughout the UK and Europe.

At the beginning of the new year and a new term, on 7th January, 2022, the brand new £33.8 million Pencoedtre High School in Barry, opened its doors for the first time to pupils and the wider community.

Tuesday, 5th April was a significant day for us here at Shufflebottom. It marked the return of welcoming Carmarthenshire’s Young Farmers’ Clubs to our offices and manufacturing facility at Cross Hands once again. We have missed them during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
