Project complete: Ysgol Bryngwyn, Llanelli
Structural steelwork supporting the next generation.
Shufflebottom has recently completed a key phase of structural steelwork at Ysgol Bryngwyn in Llanelli, working in partnership with main contractor Lloyd & Gravell to deliver a significant upgrade to the school’s facilities.
As national conversation focuses on the government’s continued investment in school improvement and the recently launched DfE construction framework, projects like Ysgol Bryngwyn demonstrate the essential role of experienced steelwork partners in creating modern, future-proof learning environments.
A two phase programme designed and built for long-term performance
Shufflebottom supplied and installed 151 tonnes of structural steelwork across a carefully managed two phase build, which included:
A new main classroom block for science and specialist learning
A link bridge structure providing seamless circulation between buildings
The design, detailing and manufacture were completed in-house at Shufflebottom’s facility in Cross Hands, South Wales, reflecting our commitment to producing quality buildings that are built to last. All structural components were fabricated to Shufflebottom’s exacting standards to provide long-term strength and stability.
This follows our earlier involvement in the school’s development, with the structural frame installation already featured in a previous update on our website. Together, the phases form a cohesive upgrade that will serve Ysgol Bryngwyn for decades.
