Drawing on Work Experience

Shufflebottom welcomed Steff (left) and Jac, two Year 10 GCSE students from Ysgol Bro Dinefwr, Llandeilo, for a week’s work experience. They were mainly in the busy drawing office, but also went out on site to see a building being erected.

Steff, whose studies include engineering, information and communication technology (ICT) and geography, has ambition to become an engineer. Jac, whose GCSE subjects include construction, geography and design and technology, hopes for career in quantity surveying.

“We wish both Steff and Jac well for the future,” said director Alex Shufflebottom.

The company likes to offer opportunities to local young people, and runs a successful apprenticeship programme.
